4th of July

This year we spent our 4th of July weekend in Wisconsin.

We went back to the cabin we visited in February and we had a great time.

Layla loved swimming in the "big pool" as she called the lake.

Ryker is crawling and standing (on his own in the middle of the floor!!) now and Mason is really close to crawling!

Ryan enjoyed tubing and water skiing, his first time for both.

He had a ton of fun but was also a little sore!!

While the boys were "watersporting" it up, Layla and I and many others hung out on the pontoon boat. Layla started calling it "LayLay's boat" and even got to drive it. Kris' dad was nice enough to let Layla steer, press a lot of buttons and even let her honk the horn.

Layla and Ryker's grandpa were steering us to the beach where Layla and the babies enjoyed the sand and water. I think Layla could sit for hours and entertain herself in the sand, she was same way in Lake Geneva. And she isn't eating it like last year which is a huge plus :-)

Here is Layla's first 4th of July outfit for the day. I found it at Kohl's at the end of winter and it came with a matching outfit for her doll. It was so cute and Layla thought it was fun to have the same outfit on as her baby doll.

Here is outfit number two. Layla surprisingly liked it and wore it around for a little while. I made the tutu from a no sew tutorial on this YouTube page. The tutu will find a nice home in Layla's dress-up trunk and may make a reappearance next 4th of July :-)

Layla and daddy taking another swim in the lake. Layla is obsessed with the water right now whether it be lake, park pool or baby pool in the backyard.

And the night before we left, Layla and I took a quick picture before she headed down to bed. We had no idea Layla would enjoy this trip to the cabin as much as she did, it was fun to watch her. Layla was a good little girl and slept like a champ which is always a great bonus. She was exhausted when we got home on Monday, but was back to her energizer bunny self on Tuesday.
