Florida 2014: Cocoa Beach

On one of the last days of our trip, we headed to Cocoa Beach.  It definitely was a favorite day for me.  I love the ocean.  It was pretty awesome watching the kids see the ocean for the first time.  Layla and Shea saw the ocean around the age of one, but they have no memory except from pictures.  Shea loved building in the sand, Layla collected many seashells, Liam liked being crashed into the big waves, Grady liked the waves and building and Finny collected lots of sand in his diaper.

We had to hang on tight to Grady.  The waves easily knocked him off his feet.

We stopped at a manatee lookout and the Kennedy Space Center on the way back to our hotel.  We saw a few manatees from afar and we saw the outskirts of the Kennedy Space Center.  The space center will be good to go back to and explore when the kids are a bit older.   

    

And this is the end of my Florida posts.  Probably about time.  We have been home for a month now!  We had such a great trip and I know we will always hold it close to our hearts as a wonderful memory from our small kids era.  Maybe next year we can all head to the beach for a week :)
